Ray Emure started off working in fashion design and retail since the age of 16 including running a womenswear own label for four years and being the head designer for a supplier to high st stores, however the passion was always with music. So in 2008 after months of recording and music discovery, the first album "The Beginning" was released. In 2009 a distribution deal was signed with Believe Digital to release all of Ray Emure's music to ITunes, Amazon and all online music stores.
2009 saw the release of the album "Coming Home" which included "Tick Tock" which to date is the best selling single. Ray embarked on his first UK tour to promote the record which was later released as a deluxe edition.
2010 was an experimental year, and the foray into the dance industry paid off with 4 Top Ten Electro hits on Juno's website including "What We Find", "Never Mind" and "Ready To Go Home". In the Autumn of 2011, Ray returned to his pop roots with the release of his album "Of The Heart" . The set included "Promenade", "Memories" and "Pull It Back".
In 2012 the single "Tick Tock" was played on BBC Radio 6 Mixtape show by DJ Tom Robinson. Other highlights included a YouTube partnership, official pages on sites such as MTV, Iheart radio and BBC. And in October the dance EP '5' with "Such A Lie" single was added to Tom Robinson's Soundcloud Setlist.
2013 sees the release of a new album called "184.108.40.206". The record promises to be uptempo with various elements of dance and pop music. Ray Emure will be going on a promotional tour in 2013 to support this new record.
