Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson left the playoff game against the Buffalo Bills last night after suffering a concussion in the third quarter, essentially putting a damper on hopes of a Ravens comeback.

Shortly after Jackson was ruled out, Bills fans began to pay respect to him by donating to his favorite charity. Donations quickly poured into Blessings in a Backpack, which helps feed kids in Louisville who, as a result of COVID-19, have lost access to meals provided to them because of school shutdowns.

It's unclear exactly how much Bills fans have donated to the charity, but they performed a similar act of kindness in 2017 when the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Ravens in the regular season finale which sent the Bills to the playoffs. Fans began donating to Bengals QB Andy Dalton's charity, the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation to help critically ill children and their families in Cincinnati and Fort Worth, Texas. Days later, Dalton said over $250,000 had been raised by the gesture.
