Ravens Open Preseason with 23-3 Win Over Redskins

The Baltimore Ravens began their four-game preseason with a commanding 23-3 win over the Washington Redskins at M&T Bank Stadium.

Perhaps the biggest takeaways from Thursday evening's game were the Ravens strong performance on defense and the fact that no one was injured on the team that has been troubled so far.

Ryan Mallet started the game at quarterback for the Ravens while Joe Flacco continues to recover from a back injury. Mallet went 9/18 with 58 yards. QBs Josh Woodrum and Dustin Vaughan also saw time in the second half.

Justin Tucker nailed a 59-yard field goal in the second quarter with a booming kick that seemingly could have been good from 70.

The Ravens next preseason game is Thursday, August 17th against the Miami Dolphins.
