Things haven’t been going so well for new Dolphins wide receiver Chad Ochocinco the past handful of years. Since 2008, Ochocinco has had one 1,000+ yard season (2009 when he hauled in 72 balls for 1,047 yards). Last season he rode the Patriots’ bench after apparently not knowing their playbook. He had by far his worst statistical season since his rookie year catching only 15 balls for 276 yards and one touchdown.
Before 2008, he had been named to the NFL Pro Bowl five years in a row (2003-07). He’s been voted in just once since. Yes, he’s gotten older and perhaps a tick slower, but the biggest difference in Ochocinco since 2008 is his name change. For the 2008 season and prior, he was Chad Johnson. Since then, he’s been Chad Ochocinco…or to many, Chad Ochostinko.
