Neil's medical problems surfaced Sunday night during Motley Crue's concert in Sydney. The band had to cut their show short, and at the time bassist Nikki Sixx told the crowd that Neil had been in pain the entire night.

In a Facebook post Monday Sixx explained that Neil was suffering from a bout of kidney stones, which needed to be surgically removed. He also praises the singer for his attempts to perform in such pain. Nikki said he's "seen Vinnie go onstage with broken bones, his voice completely blown out and torn ligaments but he never ever cancels," adding "Just like an athlete you sometimes have to play through the pain." Still, Sixx says Sunday night the pain was just too "excruciating."
Motley Crue is currently on the Australian leg of their "Monster Tour" with KISS.
