Since its release in 1973, Pink Floyd‘s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ has become one of the best-selling records of all time. The album is certified for sales of more than 15 million in the United States alone, and stayed on Billboard’s Top 200 for 741 weeks. It celebrates its 40th anniversary this month.

To mark the occasion, the group’s official website will be streaming ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ in its entirety starting this coming Saturday night (March 23) at 7:01PM ET.  Fans are being encouraged to send messages and photos related to the album via Twitter using the hashtag #DarkSide40. The tweets will automatically cause a side of a specially-designed moon on the group’s website to darken.
