Listen to Eric Clapton on iHeartRadio
Eric Clapton is launching what could be one of his last tours. The guitar legend is heading out on a 17-date North American tour, which he's kicking off in Phoenix, Arizona Thursday night. The Wallflowers are on board as the opening act.
Over the course of the trek Clapton will make stops throughout the Southern and Northeastern U.S., and wrap things up with his fourth Crossroads Guitar Festival at New York's Madison Square Garden on April 12th and 13th.
He'll follow with a run through Europe, with shows scheduled in May and June. Clapton's tour coincides with the release of his latest album. "Old Sock" arrived in stores this week.
Clapton recently said he's planning to retire from the road soon. The rocker, who'll turn 68 later this month, told "Rolling Stone" he intends to bring his touring career to a close when he's 70.
