Aerosmith kicks off tour Saturday in Minneapolis

Aerosmith is in Minnesota for the start of the Global Warming tour Saturday in Minneapolis. The tour, with Cheap Trick opening, is scheduled to run through August 8th in Tacoma, Washington, although another leg is likely in support of the August 28th release of the band's album, Music From Another Dimension.

Cheap Trick last went out with Aerosmith on the 2006 Rockin' the Joint tour, which was canceled after one show because of Steven Tyler's throat problems.
